We are thrilled to celebrate the successful conclusion of the Community Impact Project (CIP) Spring 2026 cohort at Constructor University Bremen! After months of dedication, collaboration, and hands-on innovation, our student teams have delivered real-world IoT solutions designed to make a difference in communities across Africa.
🌍 Building Solutions That Matter
This cycle’s CIP teams took on complex societal challenges and transformed them into working prototypes. Each team combined technical skills with genuine empathy for the communities they serve — a hallmark of the YouthTeamUp DVE experience.
This cohort’s graduating teams and their projects:
- WeCare — Smart health monitoring solution supporting community caregiving
- DiverseGrow — Precision agriculture system promoting sustainable and inclusive farming
- Smart Solar Dryer — Renewable energy-powered food preservation technology for rural communities
🔧 Technology at the Core
Teams leveraged a professional IoT stack to build and deploy their prototypes, including:
Hardware: WaziDev, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and a range of environmental and health sensors Software & Connectivity: LoRaWAN, WaziCloud, Arduino, and custom dashboards
Each solution was built with scalability and real-world deployment in mind — not just a proof of concept, but a foundation for lasting community impact.
